Prime Minister Modi believes that India has taken big steps forward during this time, laying a strong foundation for a modern India.
The Prime Minister Modi praised the efforts of all the members of the lower house for completing tasks that had been awaited for many years. He highlighted a resolution passed regarding the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple, saying it will give future generations pride in the nation’s heritage.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the values of empathy, resolve, and compassion in the resolution, which align with the principle of development for all.
Prime Minister Modi also spoke about historic decisions made by the 17th Lok Sabha, such as the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and the criminalization of triple talaq. These decisions, he said, have moved the country in the right direction.
PM Modi thanked Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for his impartial leadership and for maintaining the dignity of the House. He praised Birla for his patience and wisdom in handling various situations, including those during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged Birla’s role in the construction of a new building for the Lok Sabha and the ceremonial installation of the ‘sengol’ in the House. He expressed hope for even higher productivity in the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha.
