Fusion of faith and business
According to Debashis Chatterjee, director of IIM Kozhikode, Ayodhya combines faith, spirituality, business, and politics—a mix that fits well with good business principles. He mentioned that businesses and governments have many common stakeholders, with each being crucial to the other. The event in Ayodhya is invitation-only, and all hotels are booked. Strict protocols and special arrangements have been made for the participation of spiritual leaders, important guests, and very important guests, with a focus on safety.
The invitation for the event in Ayodhya has specific instructions, allowing only one person per invitation. Many business leaders plan to use private planes, and they might stay at Radisson and other top hotels in the town.
Some important decisions about where very important guests will stay will be made closer to the event, according to a government official.
Around 100 planes are expected to arrive in Ayodhya for the ceremony, so preparations are being made at airstrips in Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, and Azamgarh to handle the increased air traffic.
L&T, India’s largest engineering company, has managed the design and construction of the temple without any charges.
Additionally, there is an auction for hotel plots in Ayodhya, and many big hotel chains are interested in building properties there to benefit from the tourism growth expected after the opening of the airport and the temple in FY25.
