According to a Morning Consult survey, PM Narendra Modi has once again emerged as the world’s most popular leader with an impressive approval rating of 78%. The survey’s data, collected between January 30 and February 5, reflects a seven-day moving average of opinions among adults from each surveyed country.
Among other global leaders, Mexico’s Andrés Manuel López Obrador secured the second position with a 64% approval rating, followed by Switzerland’s Alain Berset in third place with 57%. Poland’s Donald Tusk ranked fourth with a 50% approval rating, while Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva received a 47% approval rating. Australian Premier Anthony Albanese closely follows with a 45% approval rating.
In contrast, US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, considered among the most powerful leaders, are placed either in the middle or at the bottom of the table. President Biden received a 37% approval rating, while Prime Minister Sunak and Chancellor Scholz garnered barely above 20% approval ratings.
The survey results highlight PM Narendra Modi’s continued popularity on the global stage and reflect his significant influence and leadership stature.
