Mahindra and Mahindra, a leading sports utility vehicle manufacturer, have unveiled the updated avatar of their popular SUV, the XUV700, in the Indian market. The company has introduced changes and new features in this SUV, enhancing its appeal and performance compared to the previous model. With its attractive design and powerful engine, the starting price for this SUV is set at 13.99 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
Enhancing the driving experience, the company has introduced new features in the AX7L variant. This includes first-in-segment memory ORVMs linked to custom seat profiles. Both the AX7 and AX7L variants now offer ventilated front seats with captain seat options, adding a touch of luxury to this SUV
The new XUV700 now comes in a completely new Nepoli Black color across all variants. Additionally, a special Black theme is offered for the AX7 and AX7L variants, featuring a commanding black grille and attractive black alloy wheels. Moreover, there’s an optional dual-tone exterior available for the AX7 and AX7L variants.
Inside the cabin, the company has implemented changes, introducing a stylish dark chrome finish on the air vents and central console. With 83 connected car features, the driving experience has been enhanced. This includes 13 new additional features like EcoSense Leaderboard, M-Lens, and Toll Diary, which come with Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates.
Mahindra has introduced a new Concierge service, ASK Mahindra, allowing immediate assistance on vehicle technology and infotainment-related queries through E-call. Customers can avail of this service from 8 AM to 8 PM every day of the week.
As per the company’s statement, since its launch in August 2021, the XUV700 has sold over 1,40,000 units, making it the fastest-selling vehicle in Mahindra’s portfolio to reach this milestone. The new XUV700’s AX7 and AX7L variants now come with captain seats, enhancing its premium appeal. Additionally, the AX7L variant is equipped with outside rear-view mirrors (ORVM) featuring memory function.

The 2024 Mahindra XUV700 is equipped with a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine, with the diesel engine offered in two tuning options. The petrol engine delivers a power of 200bhp, while the diesel engine generates either 155bhp or 185bhp depending on the variant. It offers both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options, and additionally, an optional AWD is also available.
The official bookings for the new Mahindra XUV700 have commenced today, starting from January 15, 2024. The company states that the new demo vehicles will start reaching dealerships across India from January 25, 2024.
