Iqbal Ansari, a prominent figure in the historic Ayodhya land dispute case and a former litigant, has been extended a heartfelt invitation for the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram temple, scheduled to take place on January 22. The ceremony, known as ‘pran pratishtha,’ is anticipated to draw over a lakh devotee to the sacred town.

Historic Gesture: Iqbal Ansari, who once played a pivotal role in the Ayodhya land dispute case, was presented with the invitation at his residence located in Kotia Panjitola near the revered Ram Path. The gesture symbolizes a historic moment of unity and inclusivity, transcending the boundaries of the past legal disputes.

Respect for the Verdict: Ansari, expressing his respect for the 2019 Supreme Court verdict on the Ram temple issue, has consistently conveyed a message of reconciliation and harmony. His stance reflects a broader sentiment within the Muslim community, acknowledging the legal resolution and fostering a spirit of unity.

Significance of the Consecration Ceremony: The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple holds immense cultural and religious significance, marking the formal sanctification and dedication of the sacred site. The event is poised to witness the participation of around 7,000 guests from India and abroad, with over 6,000 invitation cards dispatched by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Inclusive Guest List: Apart from religious leaders and dignitaries, the invitation list includes several renowned personalities from various fields. Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher, Rajinikanth, and Akshay Kumar are among the invitees. Notably, the Trust has also extended invitations to acclaimed directors Rajkumar Hirani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and Rohit Shetty, along with producer Mahaveer Jain.

Prime Minister’s Inauguration: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to inaugurate the Ram Mandir during the ceremony. The event is expected to draw global attention and features a call from the temple trust for devotees to avoid traveling to Ayodhya on the day of the consecration to ensure a smooth and secure celebration.

Iqbal Ansari’s Journey: Iqbal Ansari’s involvement in the Ayodhya land dispute case continued after his father’s demise in 2016, who was the oldest litigant in the case. His presence at the consecration ceremony symbolizes a spirit of inclusivity and collective celebration, transcending the boundaries of the past.
