External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, during a recent visit to Iran, denounced terrorism in a joint statement with his Iranian counterpart.
Jaishankar stated that India firmly opposes all forms of terrorism and emphasizes the importance of preventing civilian casualties in any conflict.
Jaishankar visited Tehran and met President Ebrahim Rais to offer condolences for the Kerman attack that claimed over 80 lives. India also raised concerns about threats to maritime shipping, urging a swift resolution, likely referring to Houthi rebels targeting merchant vessels in the Red Sea with Iranian support.
