In a recent event as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha commended the significant achievements of Jammu and Kashmir over the past four years, expressing gratitude to the people for their active participation in government schemes. He highlighted the collective effort towards ensuring that the benefits of flagship programs reach all intended beneficiaries.

“Today, the entire nation is proud of what Jammu and Kashmir has achieved in the last four years. Our consistent focus is on the economic empowerment of women, farmers, and the youth. We have to make sure they access and fully utilize the opportunities a resurgent Jammu and Kashmir has to offer,” stated Lt Governor Sinha.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, aimed at empowering the marginalized sections of society, has instilled a sense of self-confidence. Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the strength of ‘Jan bhagidari’ (people’s participation) as a key factor in achieving the saturation of schemes and economic betterment.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to promoting equitable and inclusive development, Lt Governor Sinha credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for transformative welfare schemes and rapid development across sectors, improving the lives of the poorest of the poor.

“Prime Minister Modi has empowered and enabled common people to stand on their own feet,” he remarked.

Lt Governor Sinha assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the administration is dedicated to serving them with complete dedication and resolving issues promptly. He personally monitors the daily electricity supply situation in the region, particularly important amid the ongoing power crisis during the harsh winter.

The lieutenant governor praised the efforts of Srinagar Smart City Limited and Municipal Corporation for their initiatives in transforming the city into a prime example of urban development.

Highlighting the positive change in people’s lives, Lt Governor Sinha referenced the massive New Year celebrations at Lal Chowk, marking a significant moment in the restoration of Kashmir’s ancient glory. He visited various stalls set up by different departments, handing over sanction letters and benefits to beneficiaries of various schemes, reinforcing the commitment to the welfare and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
